RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR HEARING PURSUANT TO IOWA
CODE SECTION 384.102 RELATED TO THE CITY OF WAUKEE NATURAL
GAS UTILITY CAPACITY EXPANSION
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee believes it is necessary and in the best
interest of the City to expand the capacity of the natural gas utility;and
WHEREAS,before plans,specifications and contract for the construction of the public
improvements are entered into,it is necessary,to advertise for bids and hold a public hearing;and
WHEREAS,the Notice to Bidders was published on February 1,2007 and February 8,2007 in
a legal newspaper,fixing the date and time for receiving bids,with said bids to be filed prior to 2:00
p.m.,on February 21,2007;and
WHEREAS,bids were received and opened at a public meeting as provided in the public notice
and the results of said bids were read on February 21,2007,at 2:05 p.m.;and
WHEREAS,the date and time for public hearing regarding the plans,specifications and
contract and to consider bids received for said project was initially set for February 26,2007 at 7:00
p.m.;and
WHEREAS,the City Council ofthe City of Waukee deems it appropriate for additional
information regarding the plans,specifications and contract to be gathered prior to holding a public
hearing and prior to considering bids received.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of the City of Waukee
approves rescheduling the public hearing date and time of March 19,2007 at 7:00 p.m.for
consideration of approval of plans,specifications and contract and to consider bids received for said
project.
