RESOLUTION 07-45
APPROVING A THREE-YEAR EXTENSION TO A CONTRACT FOR CURBSIDE
RESIDENTiAL WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS BETWEENTHE CITY OF
WAUKEE AND WASTE MANAGEMENT,INC.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the current contract will terminate on June 30,2007;AND,
WHEREAS,within the current contract there is an option to extend the contract for an
additional 3-years;AND,
WHEREAS,the Utility Connnittee approved the three-year contract extension at the February
20,2007 regular meeting;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby approves three-year extension to a contract for curbside residential waste and
recyclable materials between the City of Waukee and Waste Management,Inc.,with the addition
of an addendum to be drafted by the City Attorney regarding yard waste pick-up.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 26th day of February
2007.
