RESOLUTION 07-64
APPROVING THE ADDITION TO THE EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK,SECTION #490,
SECTION 125 FLEX SPENDING ACCOUNTS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has reviewed the non-represented employee benefits at the
recommendation of City Attorney,Jim Brick,AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee currently has 16 full time,non-represented employees,AND,
WHEREAS,in FY2007,the Interim City Administrator and Director of Finance recommended
funding a Section 125 Flex Spending Account,in the amount of$500 for each non-represented
employee,to be used for either medical/dental or dependent day care expenses,AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council approved a probationary period of one year for FY2007,
for the addition of Section #490 -Section 125 Flex Spending Accounts to the Employee
Handbook,to fund each full time,non-represented employee's account with $500,for qualified
medical/dental or dependent day care expense reimbursement,AND,
WHEREAS,the City Administrator/Clerk now recommends this section become a regular part
of the Employee Handbook.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
19th day of March 2007,that it hereby approves,the addition to the Employee Handbook,
Section #490,Section 125 Flex Spending Accounts,to fund each full time,non-represented
employees account with $500,for qualified medical/dental or dependent day care expense
reimbursement.
