RESOLUTION 07-66
APPROVAL OF SALE OF PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa,is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,on January 22,2007,the Waukee City Council directed City staff to pursue the
sale of Public Works Department equipment (Resolution #07-22),described as follows:
1)1988 Ford F-800 Dump Truck with snowplow and sander
(YIN #lFDPK84A4SVA56159),and
2)1985 International Dump Truck with snowplow (VIN #IHTLOMYPZGHA 10941);
WHEREAS,at the date,time and place set for receipt of bids,no bid proposals were received
for the 1988 Ford F-800 Dump Truck and a single bid proposal was received for the 1985
International Dump Truck;AND,
WHEREAS,on February 12,2007,the City Council approved the sale ofthe1985 International
Dump Truck and further approved that the 1988 Ford F-800 Dump Truck should be salvaged at
the discretion of the Director of Public Works (Resolution #07-37);AND,
WHEREAS,the Director of Public Works directed that a notice of sale be published in the
Dallas County News on March 8,2007 for the sale of the 1988 Ford F-800 Dump Truck,with
March 16,2007 at 2:00 p.m.at Waukee City Hall as the date,time and place for receipt of bids
for said property;AND,
WHEREAS,on the appointed date,the following bid proposals were received:
1)JeramyMarean up to $350.00

$751.00
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 2nd day of April 2007 that it hereby approves the sale of the 1988 Ford F-800 Dump
Truck with snowplow and sander (VIN #lFDPK84A4SVA56159)to Gumball Enterprises,Inc.,
in the amount of$751.00.
