RESOLUTION 07-80
APPROVING A PROPOSAL FROM VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.,TO PROVIDE
PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR TRAFFIC STUDY PHASE 2
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORlTY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is considering further study of traffic flow,street capacity and
accidents within the City along major routes and at intersections along Hickman Road;AND,
WHEREAS,the City desires to retain the Engineers to perform engineering services on the
project and to act for and represent it in engineering matters on the Traffic Study Phase 2 project;
AND,
WHEREAS,the scope of the project includes four parts:I)Highway 6IHickman Road Accident
Review;2)Local Streets Capacity Improvements;3)Traffic Signal Warrant Review;and 4)
Check Warrants on Olson Drive;AND,
WHEREAS,the fee for the planning,design and construction services for the project shall be a
maximum not to exceed the amount of$19,750.00;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this 16th day of April 2007 that the proposal from Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.for Professional
Engineering Services for Traffic Study Phase 2 is approved.
