RESOLUTION 07-81
APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMITTEE TO BE KNOWN AS THE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TASK FORCE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Wankee City Council has determined a need for the establishment of an advisory
committee dedicated to the development of an economic development strategic action plan,which shall
then be adopted by the City Council;AND,
WHEREAS,the Economic Development Task Force shall be established in order to fulfill this need;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Economic Development Task Force shall remain in existence until such time that the
Mayor,the members of the committee and/or a simple majority of the Council determine that the
committee is no longer needed;AND,
WHEREAS,the Mayor shall appoint the Economic Development Task Force members,the number of
which shall not exceed twenty (20);AND,
WHEREAS,the Mayor shall also annually appoint two (2)Council Members to serve as Council
Representatives to the committee;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee Director of Community Development shall attend meetings of the
Economic Development Task Forceand shall act in the capacity of support staff for the committee;AND,
WHEREAS,the Economic Development Task Force shall meet as necessary and shall comply with all
provisions of Code ofIowa Chapter 21,Official Meetings Open to Public (Open Meetings)and Chapter
22,Examination of Public Records (Open Records);
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa on this the
30th day of April 2007 that it hereby approves the establishment of a committee to known as the
Economic Development Task Force.
