RESOLUTION 07-92
DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO PROCEED WITH WESTWARD ANNEXATION
EFFORTS
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORITYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,current unprecedented growth within the City of Waukee has made the importance
of annexation by the City a priority for the Waukee City Council;AND,
WHEREAS,certain property owners to the west of the City of Waukee's corporate limits have
expressed an interest in annexation into the City of Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council wishes City staff to focus annexation efforts on parcels
to the west of the City of Waukee's corporate limits;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council also wishes City staff to pursue such annexation efforts
immediately;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 7'h day of May 2007 that it hereby directs Waukee City staffto proceed immediately with
annexation efforts related to parcels to the west of the City's corporate limits.
