RESOLUTION 06-242
APPROVAL OF THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPACE LEASE BETWEEN THE
CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,AND THE WAUKEE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee and Waukee Connnunity School District entered into a
teleconnnunications space lease agreement on the 24th day of August 2005,in which the term of
the lease extended to November 1,2005;AND,
WHEREAS,on November 7,2005,the City of Waukee extended the lease agreement until
November 30,2005;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee extended the Telecommunications Space Lease Agreement
term until May 31,2006 at which time if the antennae has not been removed from the water
tower,the City would charge rent beginning June 1,2006 until such a time that the antennae is
removed;AND,
WHEREAS,during the time after June 1,2006,the Waukee Community School District was in
the process of interviewing and has since hired a new Information Technology employee,who
has worked with the City of Waukee Director of Public Works on the agreement;AND,
WHEREAS,a new Telecommunications Space Lease Agreement has been drawn up by the City
Attorney,which includes provisions for an indefinite extension of the original lease and addenda
until a permanent communication method has been determined by the school district.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
4th day of December 2006 that it hereby approves the Telecommunications Spac Lease.
