RESOLUTION 06-244
APPROVING CARLSON,McCLURE &ASSOCIATES,INC.FOR PREPARING THE
SUMMARY VALUE FINDING APPRAISAL REPORT FOR THE PROPERTIES
AFFECTED BY THE SOUTH AREA TRUNK SEWER PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City authorizes Carlson,McClure &Associates,Inc.to prepare the Summary
Value Finding Appraisal Report;AND,
WHEREAS,Carlson,McClure &Associates,Inc.will complete and deliver three copies of
each report with fees as follows:

Thomas &Kathleen Taggart
Mark &Diane Foust
Mercy Foundation ofDSM
Phillips-Hamilton,Inc.

$1,400;AND,
WHEREAS,the purpose of the appraisals is to estimate the market value of the fee simple
interest and any leasehold interests before and after acquisition;AND,
WHEREAS,the intended use of the appraisals is for acquisition negotiations purposes;AND,
WHEREAS,all eminent domain appraisals used by a governmental entity will be prepared in
accordance with the mandatory requirements of the relative chapters of the Code of Iowa,Iowa
Constitution and Iowa Supreme Court interpretations;Federal Uniform Relocation Assistance
and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970;and the Uniform Standards of Professional
Appraisal Practice;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby approves Carlson,McClure &Associates,Inc.for preparing the Summary Value
Finding Appraisal Reports for the properties affected by the South Area Trunk Sewer Project.
Passed by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 11th day of December
2006.

RESOLUTION 06-245
APPROVING THE AUTHORIZATION OF FUNDS FOR THE RIDGE POINTE PARK
PAVILION IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $46,300
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee previously approved the pavilion project in the amount of
$222,500;AND,
WHEREAS,heat and insulation was added to the plans to make this a year-round facility with
an increase in the cost of the facility not to exceed $46,300;AND,
WHEREAS,the additional money would be funded from Park Land Dedication fees;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby approves the authorization of funds for the Ridge Pointe Pavilion in an amount
not to exceed $46,300.
