APPROVAL OF PROCEDURES FOR THE SALE OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY AT
14705 SE UNIVERSITY AVE.PURSUANT TO §364.7 CODE OF IOWA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa,is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;

WHEREAS,the City Council has directed City staff to pursue the sale of city-owned
property at 14705 SE University Avenue,legally described as The South 180 feet of the
West 220 Feet of the Southeast Y.of the Southwest Y.of Section 36,Township 79 North,
Range 26 West of the 5th P.M.,Waukee,Dallas County,Iowa.Subject to any and all
covenants,restrictions and/or easements of record;AND,
WHEREAS,the sale or potential sale of city property must conform with §364.7 Code ofIowa,
which requires the council to set forth its proposal to sell in a resolution and publish notice ofthe
resolution and of a date,time and place of public hearing on the proposal;AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 18th day of December 2006 that it hereby directs the City Administrator!Clerk to publish
notice of the solicitation of offers for city property located at 14705 SE University Avenue.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that January 3,2007 at 1:30 p.rn.shall be set as the date and time
for receipt of bids therefore and that January 8,2007 shall be set as the date for public hearing to
consider the proposal to sell such property and consider any offers that may have been received
thereon.Thereafter the Council may take any action it deems appropriate relative to the sale of such
property by resolution.
