RESOLUTION 06-252
APPROVING THE WINTER SHUT DOWN FOR THE 2006 WATER MAIN
IMPROVElVIENTPROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the 2006 water main project had an original contract completion date of November
15,2006;AND,
WHEREAS,Staff has determined the extra time for the work necessary on the storm sewer and
additional services that were unknown prior to the beginning of construction would be 26 days;
AND,
WHEREAS,the contractor has requested a winter shut down until spring construction can
begin;AND,
WHEREAS,the contractor will be responsible for cleaning the areas of the project where the
underground work has been completed,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session thisis"Day of December 2006 that it hereby approves the winter shut down for the 2006 Water
Main Improvement Project.
