A resolution to reconsider rezoning ordinance changing the zoning classification
of a parcel known as Shottenkirk Chevrolet parcel from M-IA [Limited Industrial
District]to C-l [Community and Highway Service Commercial District]and
amending the Official Zoning Map to show the rezoning of the parcel
]
WHEREAS,on August 20,2007,a motion was made to approve the second reading of
rezoning ordinance changing the zoning classification of a parcel known as Shottenkirk
Chevrolet parcel from M-IA [Limited Industrial District]to C-l [Community and Highway
Service Commercial District]and amending the Official Zoning Map to show the rezoning of a
parcel known as Shottenkirk Chevrolet parcel;and
WHEREAS,the motion failed by a vote of one in favor,two opposed and two absent and
not voting;with Council Member Stanton voting in favor,Council Members Watts and Bailey
voting against,and Council Members McGee and Mertz absent and not voting;and
WHEREAS,it has been moved by Council Member Bailey,and seconded by Council
Member McGee,to reconsider the earlier failed moti on to give second reading and to bring the
said rezoning ordinance back before the City Council for future consideration and readings;
NOW,THEREFORE,It Is Resolved by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,as
follows:
Section I.It is the determination of the Council to grant the motion to reconsider the
earlier failed motion to give second reading to rezoning ordinance changing the zoning
classification of a parcel known as Shottenkirk Chevrolet parcel from M-IA [Limited Industrial
District]to C-l [Community and Highway Service Commercial District]and amending the
Official Zoning Map to show the rezoning of the parcel.
