RESOLUTION 07-242
APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ADDENDUM NO.1 TO THE
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
IN THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas COlUIty,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the initial resolution adopted on November 6,1995 created the Standard
Specifications for Public Improvements in the City of Waukee,Iowa (hereinafter known as
"Standard Specifications")(Resolution #95-11);AND,
WHEREAS,the Standard Specifications were readopted on April 4,2005 (Resolution #05-59);
AND,
WHEREAS,the Standard Specifications are intended to provide certain minimum standards of
construction for public improvements which are needed and desirable to ensure quality controls;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council directed Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.,referred to as City
Engineer in the Standard Specifications,to draft an addendum to said Standard Specifications in
order to modify certain subparagraphs in "Part 1 -General Conditions"and "Part 13 -Portland
Cement Concrete Pavement";AND,
WHEREAS,City staff has reviewed the addendum and recommends approval;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
5th day of November 2007 that it hereby approves the adoption of Addendum No,1 to the
Standard Specifications for Public Improvements in the City of Waukee,Iowa.
