RESOLUTION 07-245
APPROVING THE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POSITION OF FULL-TIME
CLUBHOUSE MANAGER/GOLF PROFESSIONAL,APPROVING THE SALARY FOR
SAID POSITION,AND DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO BEGIN THE PROCESS OF
FILLING SAID POSITION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the position of Clubhouse Manager/Golf Professional is currently a part-time
position;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommend changing the position of Clubhouse Manager/Golf
Professional to a full-time position,with a starting salary of $39,000 per year and additional
compensation of:
I)5%of the gross margin pro shop revenues (all pro shop merchandise shall have a
minimum mark-up of 10%);
2)100%of golflessons revenue;
3)100%of junior golfprograrn and all golf clinics (support staff and expenses paid
from fees);
4)$0.25 per paid round after 21,000 paid rounds;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council has reviewed the full-time job description and salary
recommendation for the full-time position of Clubhouse Manager/Golf Professional and finds
them appropriate;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this 19th day of November 2007 that it hereby approves the job description and starting salary for
the full-time position of Clubhouse Manager/Golf Professional;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council directs City staff to begin the process of
filling the position of Clubhouse Manager/Golf Professional.
