RESOLUTION 07-115
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(a),THE TEMPORARY
CLOSING OF WALNUT ST.FROM 5TH ST.WEST TO 6TH ST.ON THURSDAY,JULY
12 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3:00 P.M.AND 10:00 P.M.FOR THE WAUKEE AREA
ARTS COUNCIL "JAZZ IN JULY"EVENT,PENDING APPROVAL OF THE USE OF
TRIANGLE PARK BY THE CITY OF WAUKEE PARK BOARD
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Arts Council will sponsor "Jazz in July,"to be held in the
Downtown Triangle Area on Thursday,July 12;AND,
WHEREAS,"Jazz in July"will be co-sponsored by the Waukee Triangle Association;AND,
WHEREAS,on June 21,2007,the City of Waukee Park Board will consider the Waukee Area
Arts Council request to use Triangle Park for the event;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),Public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
18th day ofJune 2007 that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from sth
Street west to 6th Street on Thursday,July 12 between the hours of3:00 pm and 10:00 pm for the
Waukee Area Arts Council "Jazz in July"event,pending approval of the use of Triangle Park by
the City of Waukee Park Board.
