RESOLUTION 07-131
APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE COPELAND SPORTS
COMPLEX STEERING COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,on June 4,2007,the Waukee City Council approved a contract with RDG Planning
&Design for design services for the City of Waukee Copeland Sports Complex (Resolution
#07/105);AND,
WHEREAS,a series of public input meetings with representatives ofRDG Planning &Design
were held on June 27,2007 and June 28,2007 related to potential sports complex uses and
amenities;AND,
WHEREAS,the Copeland Sports Complex Steering Committee shall be an ad hoc committee
that shall review the various requests made for certain sports complex amenities,and shall work
with RDG Planning &Design on the master plan design for the complex;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard has appointed the following persons as members of the
Copeland Sports Complex Steering Committee:

3.Mike Watts (City Council)10.
4.Dan Gardiner II.
5.Steve Schmidt 12.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
9th day of July 2007 that it hereby approves the Mayor's Appointment of mbers to the
Copeland Sports Complex Steering Committee.
