RESOLUTION 07-136
APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF A REPRESENTATIVE AS THE BOND
COUNSEL FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,it is in the best interest of the City to have bond counsel for the purpose of
advising the City on legal matters related to the issuance and delivery of indebtedness of
the City to initial purchasers,reviewing applicable state and federal laws,participating in
the preparation ofthe offering for sale of bonds or notes,and preparing the legal
proceedings with respect to the necessary election or hearing on such issues;AND,
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council have received a letter and agreement dated
July 19,2007,from J.Eric Boehlert on behalf of the firm of Ahlers &Cooney,P.e.
related to bond counsel services;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard has appointed Ahlers &Cooney,P.C.as the bond
counsel for the City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Waukee,Iowa,in
session this 23'd day of July 2007,does hereby approve the appointment of Ahlers &
Cooney,P.e.as bond counsel for the City of Waukee.
