RESOLUTION 07-142
APPROVING THE LETTER OF INTENT #1 FOR THE SAFE ROUTES TO
SCHOOL GRANT PROGRAM
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,staff has prepared a Letter ofIntent for the submittal of a Safe Routes to
School Grant Application to the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Letter ofIntent is for the proposed Raccoon River Valley Trail
Extension within the abandoned Union Pacific Railroad Right of Way from Prairieview
School to Hickman Road within the City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa that the Letter ofIntent for the Safe Routes to School Grant Application be
approved and forwarded to the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa and approved the 23rd day of
July 2007.
