RESOLUTION 07-143
APPROVING THE LETTER OF INTENT #2 FOR THE SAFE ROUTES TO
SCHOOL GRANT PROGRAM
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,staff has prepared a Letter of Intent for the submittal of a Safe Routes to
School Grant Application to the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Letter of Intent is for the proposed below grade trail crossing at the
intersection of University Avenue and LA Grant Parkway that is being considered as a
part of the University Avenue Widening Project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,
Iowa that the Letter ofIntent for the Safe Routes to School Grant Application be
approved and forwarded to the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa and approved the 23'd day of
July 2007.
