RESOLUTION 07-151
APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES AND
ALTERNATE TO THE 2007 METROPOLITAN ADVISORY COUNCIL (MAC)
LEGISLATIVE ACTION COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa,is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the Metropolitan Advisory Council (MAC),of which the City of Waukee is
a member,requests that two person be appointed to represent the City on the 2007 MAC
Legislative Action Committee;AND,
WHEREAS,the role of the 2007 MAC Legislative Action Committee is to gain an
understanding of issues and concerns at the state level that affect how local govemment
operates,to build relationships with the legislative delegation,and to take a proactive
position on possible drafting of legislation;AND,
WHEREAS,William F.Peard has appointed citizen Ron Marr and Council Member
Isaiah McGee as representatives,and City Administrator/Clerk Jeff Kooistra as alternate,
to the 2007 MAC Legislative Action Committee;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 6th day of August 2007 that it hereby approves the mayor's appointment of
representatives and alternate to the 2007 MAC Legislative Action Committee.
