RESOLUTION 07-154
APPROVAL OF A PROPOSAL BY DESIGN ALLIANCE TO CONDUCT A
DETAILED INVESTIGATION OF WAUKEE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL,400
LOCUST ST.,FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $7,500.00
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa,is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,On November 20,2006,the Waukee City Council approved a proposal
from Design Alliance for design services for the remodel of Waukee City Hall for the
best use of the current space and for potential future phases of expansion (Resolution
#06-233);AND,
WHEREAS,since that time,City staff have had discussions with representatives of the
Waukee Community School District about possible future ownership of the Waukee
Elementary School,400 Locust St.;AND,
WHEREAS,at the request of City staff,Design Alliance has submitted a proposal for
two possible levels of investigation and evaluation of the Waukee Elementary School
facility;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff has reviewed the proposal and recommends approval of the
Detailed Investigation for an amount not to exceed $7,500.00;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 6th day of August 2006 that it hereby approves the proposal by Design
Alliance to conduct a Detailed Investigation of Waukee Elementary School,400 Locust
St.,for an amount not to exceed $7,500.00.
