RESOLUTION 07-166 I
APPROVING CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO.1 WITH ENGINEERING
ALLIANCE,INC.,FOR THE L.A.GRANT P ARKW AY IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT,CAUSING AN INCREASE IN THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY
$30,025.00
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,on June 4,2007,the Waukee City Council approved a contract with
Engineering Alliance,Inc.,for engineering and design services for V Avenue/L.A.Grant
Pkwy.improvements (Resolution #07-104);AND,
WHEREAS,the original intent of said contract was for developers to pay for
improvements to the sections ofL.A.Grant Pkwy.that abutted their plats during the
development process;AN]),
WHEREAS,it has since been determined that the City must fund the project,with
developers reimbursing the City as the public improvements are made to their
developments;AND,
WHEREAS,Contract Amendment No.1 addresses permanent acquisition plats,
permanent utility plats,temporary easements,advertisements for bid and bid letting
services;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVE])that the City Council of Waukee,Iowa,in
session this 20th day of August,2007,does hereby approve Contract Amendment No.I
with Engineering Alliance,Inc.,for the L.A.Grant Parkway Improvement Project,
causing an increase in the contract amount by $30,025.00.
