Approving the order of detailed plans,specifications,Notice of Hearing,
Notice to Bidders and Forrn of Contract for the 2007 Sanitary Sewer
Lining Program and Setting September 18,2007 at 2:00 P.M.in the office
of the City of Urbandale City Engineer,3600 86th Street,Urbandale,IA
50322 as the date,time and location for Receipt of Bids therefore and
Setting October 1,2007 at 7:00 P.M.,Waukee City Hall,as the date,time
and location for a public hearing thereon
WHEREAS,this Council has approved the 2007 Sanitary Sewer Lining Program;
and
WHEREAS,detailed plans,specifications,notice of hearing and notice to bidders
and form of contract have been prepared and filed by City of Urbandale Engineering
Division for such proj ect and have been examined by this Council;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to fix a time and place of public hearing on the
proposed project,form of contract,estimate of cost and to advertise for sealed bids for
the 2007 Sanitary Sewer Lining Program.
NOW,THEREFORE,Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa,as follows:
8ection 1.The detailed planS'and specifications,notice of hearing and notice
to bidders and form of contract and estimate of cost referred to in the preamble hereof are
hereby approved.
Section 2.The amount of the bid security to accompany each bid is hereby
fixed at 10%ofthe amount of the proposal.
Section 3.The City Council hereby delegates to the City Engineer of
Urbandale,Iowa the duty of receiving,openin~and tabulating the bids for the
construction of the Project,on the eighteenth (l8t)day of September,2007,at 2:00
o'clock p.m.,at the office of the City Engineer at the 3600 86th Street,Urbandale,Iowa
50322.The first (1st)day of October,2007 at 7:00 o'clock p.m.,at the Council
Chambers,City Hall,Waukee,Iowa,is hereby fixed as the time and place of hearing on
the proposed plans,specifications,form of contract and estimate of cost for the 2007
Sanitary Sewer Lining Program,and also as the time and place of considering bids
received by the Urbandale City Clerk in connection therewith.
Section 4.The Waukee City Clerk shall publish notice of hearing and notice
to bidders,the same being in the form hereinabove approved and substantially as attached
to this resolution,which publication shall be made in a legal newspaper of general
circulation in the City,which publication shall be not less than 4 days nor more than 20
days before the date set for hearing and receiving such bids.
Section 5.All resolutions or parts of resolutions III conflict herewith are
hereby repealed,to the extent of such conflict.
Passed and approved this twenty seventh (27th)day of August 2007.
