RESOLUTION 07-183
APPROVING THE REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POSITION OF FIRE
CHIEF,APPROVING THE SALARY RANGE FOR SAID POSITION,AND
DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO BEGIN THE PROCESS OF FILLING SAID POSITION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City has been without a full-time Fire Chief since February 2005;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Council approved the FY2008 budget to include funding for the position
of full-time Fire Chief (Resolution #07-48);AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommend a starting salary within Salary Range #62 as defined in the
Non-Represented Salary Range Table (Resolution #07-122);AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council has reviewed the job description and salary range
recommendation for the position of Fire Chief and finds them appropriate;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this 10th day of September 2007 that it hereby approves the job description and salary range for
the position of Fire Chief;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council directs City staff to begin the process of
filling the position of Fire Chief.
