RESOLUTION 07-178
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(a),FOR THE TEMPORARY
CLOSING OF WALNUT STREET FROM 5TH STREET WEST TO 6TH STREET ON
WEDNESDAY,SEPTEMBER 26,2007 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3:00 PM AND 8:00
PM FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE FARMER'S MARKET
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Farmer's Market is an annual event that takes place at Triangle Park within the
Downtown Triangle Business District;AND,
WHEREAS,the Downtown Triangle Business District has requested the extension of Farmer's
Market by one week;AND,
WHEREAS,the street will be closed between the hours of3:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Wednesday
September 26,2007;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),Public ways and grounds,may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
10'h day of September 2007 that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from
5'h Street west to 6'h Street on Wednesday September 26,2007 between the hours of3:00 pm and
8:00 pm for the purpose of the Farmer's Market.
