RESOLUTION 07-201
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(A),OF THE TEMPORARY
CLOSING OF THE NORTHBOUND LANE OF WARRIOR LANE FROM ASHWORTH
DRIVE SOUTH TO UNIVERSITY AVENUE;AND THE WESTBOUND LANE OF
UNIVERSITY AVENUE FROM WARRIOR LANE EAST TO ASHWORTH DRIVE;
AND THE SOUTHBOUND/EASTBOUND LANE OF ASHWORTH DRIVE FROM
UNIVERSITY AVENUE NORTH AND WEST TO WARRIOR LANE FOR THE
WAUKEE MARCHING BAND INVITATIONAL,WITH SAID STREET CLOSING
BEGINNING AT 7:00 A.M.ON SATURDAY,OCTOBER 13,2007 AND ENDING AT
APPROXIMATELY 11:00 P.M.ON SATURDAY,OCTOBER 13,2007
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Waukee Band Invitational is an annual event that takes place at the Waukee
Football Stadium,905 Ashworth Dr.;AND,
WHEREAS,coordinators for the event have requested certain public streets be made into
temporary one-way streets in order to direct and control bus and general traffic for the event;
AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
I st day of October 2007 that it hereby approves the temporary closing of the northbound lane of
Warrior Lane from Ashworth Drive south to University Avenue;and the westbound lane of
University Avenue from Warrior Lane east to Ashworth Drive;and the southbound/eastbound
lane of Ashworth Drive from University Avenue north and west to Warrior Lane for the Waukee
Marching Band Invitational,with said street closing beginning at 7:00 a.m.on Saturday,October
13,2007 and ending at approximately II :00 p.m.on Sa ay,October I ,2007.
