A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE PER CAPITA
FEE FOR THE NORTH DALLAS SOLID WASTE REGIONAL PLANNING
COMMISSION FROM $0.50 TO $0.85 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING JULY 1,1998
WHERE AS,the City of Waukee is a member ofthe North Dallas Solid Waste Regional Planning
Commission,and
WHEREAS,as a member,there is due a per capita fee for the operating expenses,planning,
education,and special programs put on by the Planning Commission,and
WHEREAS,this Planning Commission has the opportunity to be involved with the Metro Waste
Authority in a contract to collect household hazardous waste,and
WHEREAS,a program to collect household hazardous waste is important to the community and
the environment by helping the citizens to properly dispose of various household wastes for which
they have no means of disposal at this time.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Waukee City Council hereby approves an
increase in its annual per capita fee for membership in the North Dallas Solid Waste Regional
Planning Commission,from $0.50 to $0.85,beginning July 1,1998,the increase which shall be used
for the contract to dispose of household hazardous waste.
