RESOLUTION APPROVING THE POLICY FOR
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR EMPLOYEE AND
VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION AND SUPPORT.
WHEREAS,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA believes it is in the
best interest of its citizens to adopt a formal policy for the expenditure of public funds used to
recognize and support city employees and volunteers,to ensure that such expenditures serve a
public purpose;and
WHEREAS,the City Council has been presented with the Policy for the Expenditure of Public
Funds for Employee and Volunteer Recognition and Support which is attached hereto and by this
reference is incorporated herein;and
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council believes that it is important for employee morale to support
and recognize them for ajob well done;and
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council also believes that the hard work of volunteers and persons
who have served as elected officials deserves recognition,and that such recognition is a small reward
for work that was done to better the community;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE,IOWA,
That the City Council hereby approves and adopts the Amended Policy for the Expenditure of Public
Funds for Employee and Volunteer Recognition
