WHEREAS,it is in the long term financial interest of the City of Waukee to lock in gas rates for the
winter when prices dictate;and
WHEREAS,recent market trends and current gas prices make locking in rates at this time a prudent
course of action;and
WHEREAS,the Utility Committee has recommended that we lock in gas rates for the months of
November,December,and January in 1998/1999 and 1999/2000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Waukee City Council hereby authorizes U.S.
Energy to lock in prices and volumes for November,December,and January of 1998/1999 and
199912000.
