HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-07-20-Resolutions 98-33_Wages - Wage Scale Step AdjustmentRESOLUTION 98-33 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE WAGE SCALE FOR WAUKEE CITY EMPLOYEES,ADJUSTING THE START STEPS AND KEEPING THE VARIOUS STEP INCREASE AT THE CURRENT PERCENTAGES. WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has wage scale that has been created for all the city positions in the City of Waukee,excepting the City Administrator/Clerk,Library Positions,and Part-time positions; and WHEREAS,it is necessary for the City Council to annually review said wage scale and the need for increases to help cope with inflation and to help keep the wages competitive,or from falling too far behind comparable cities;and WHEREAS,the Budget Committee and the City Council approved an increase in the FY 1998-99 Budget in the amount of 3%. NOW TIffiREFORE,be it resolved that the attached wage scale is hereby adopted reflecting a three percent (3%)increase on the start step grade and that such an increase is effective July 1,1998. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the following employees are to be placed in the following Grades and Classifications as ofJuly 1,1998.
