RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION FROM THE IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO REDUCE THE SPEED LIMIT
ON HIGHWAY-6 (HICKMAN ROAD)FROM 55 MPH TO 45 MPH
WHEREAS,the Department of Transportation has conducted an engineering study on Highway-6,
at the City's request,to determine an appropriate speed limit within the City limits;and
WHEREAS,the results of this study have been compiled,analyzed and reviewed by the Department
of Transportation,and a recommendation made;and
WHEREAS,the recommendation of the Department of Transportation is to move the existing 45
MPH speed limit further east to a point 600 feet east of Warrior Lane (sta 300).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the City of Waukee approves this
recommendation and that this Resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation for
action.
