IMPROVEMENTS AND CHERRY STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has levied an assessment totaling $193,807.06 for the
1997 Street Improvements and Cherry Street Improvements Project;and
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee passed a Resolution 98-57 on November 2,1998
Adopting Final Assessment Schedule for 1997 Street Improvements and Cherry Street
Improvements Project and Amending,Confirming and Levying the Assessments;and
WHEREAS,Notice of Filing of Final Assessment Schedule for the 1997 Street
Improvements and Cherry Street Improvements Project was been twice published and
sent to all property owners effected thereby;and
WHEREAS,the Special Assessment Statement for 1997 Street Improvements and
Cherry Street Improvements Project requires amendment to accurately reflect payments
made but not properly recorded on or before December 11,1998 on said Project;and
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has received previously uncertified payments for the
following parcels within the area of assessment for the 1997 Street Improvements and
Cherry Street Improvements Project including:
ParceI500-00819-0000 Lot 90 of Corene Acres Plat 2 in Section 33,T79N,R26W in the
amount of $1,468.56;aud,

Parcel 500-00612-0000 Lot 8 of Corene Acres Plat 1 in Sectiou 33,T79N,R26W in the
amount of $856.08;and,
WHEREAS,the afore mentioned parcels 500-00819-0000 and 500-00612-0000 were
inadvertently left off of the final Special Assessment Statement as paid in full and in part
respectively when certified to the Office of the Treasurer of Dallas County,Iowa.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Waukee City Council does hereby
certify that the following financial obligations have been met in regards to the 1997 Street
Improvements and Cherry Street Improvements Project by the owners of the following
parcels:
Assessment onParceI500-00819-0000 Lot 90 of Corene Acres Plat 2 in Section 33,
T79N,R26W has been paid in an amount equaling $1,468.56 of the $1,468.56 owed on
said property prior to or on December 11,1998;and,
Assessment on Parcel 500-00612-0000 Lot 8 of Corene Acres Plat 1 in Section 33,T79N,
R26W has been paid in an amount equaling $856.08 of the $1,712.17 owed on said
property prior to or on December 11,1998;and,I
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City of Waukee forgives all interest
previously consider owed on the inadvertently uncertified amount of each respective
payment noted above,and does certify that the total amount of assessments paid in cash
(including assessments of less than $50.00)on the 1997 Street Improvements and Cherry
Street Improvements Project Special Assessment is $193,807.06.The total amount of
unpaid assessments remaining to be spread being $112,050.45 with interest accrued
thereupon.The Council does hereby instruct the City Clerk to make said changes to the
Special Assessment Statement for the Street Improvements and Cherry Street
Improvements Project and file said changes at the Office of the Treasurer in the County
of Dallas,Iowa.
