RESOLUTION NO.99-122
ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF A WIDE SIX FOOT SIDEWALK ON THE EAST SIDE
OF WARRIOR LANE IN WINDFIELD II PLAT 1
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,conditionally waived the
construction of sidewalks on the west side of Warrior Lane on November 21,1994;and
WHEREAS,the City Council subsequently approved the fmal plat of Windfie1d Plat 3 on
November 21,1994 subject to "the developer installing a sidewalklbike trail along the east side of
Warrior Lane along the full length of the plat boundary;"and
WHEREAS,the developer has submitted the fmal plat for Windfield II for approval at the
October 18,1999 City Council meeting;and
WHEREAS,the safety of our young people is a vital concern to all residents;and
WHEREAS,sidewalks will provide a safe pathway for pedestrian traffic along Warrior Lane;
NOW THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the City
staff is ordered to make such arrangements that a 6 foot wide sidewalk be installed along the east side
Warrior Lane along the development known as Windfield II,with the cost thereof being paid or
construction done by the developer of said property.
