RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLIC WORKS TO FLY AN AMERICAN FLAG AT
THE MAYOR BERNARD OLSON FLAG POLE AT THE CENTENNIAL PARK
SHELTER HOUSE
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized municipal
corporation;and
WHEREAS,Bernard Olson served as Waukee Mayor from 1958 to 1960;and
WHEREAS,Waukee has honored former Mayor Bernard Olson by erecting a flag pole and
plaque at Centennial Park;and
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is grateful for his years of civic service;and
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee wants to continue honoring former Mayor Olson.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Waukee does hereby
declare by resolution that a United State's Flag shall always be flown at the flag pole dedicated to
former Mayor Bernard Olson.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 10th Day of July
2000.
