RESOLUTION URGING THE IOWA UTILITIES COMMISSION TO INCLUDE
ANKENY AND DALLAS CENTER IN WAUKEE'S LOCAL CALLING AREA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized municipal
corporation;and
WHEREAS,Ankeny to Waukee is not a long distance call;and
WHEREAS,Waukee to Ankeny is a long distance call;and
WHEREAS,the citizens of Waukee would like to be able to call both Ankeny and Dallas Center
without long distance charges;and
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Waukee,that we support
and approve a resolution urging the Iowa Public Utilities Commisson to include Ankeny and
Dallas Center in Waukee's local calling area.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 31st Day of July 2000.
