RESOLUTION ASSENTING TO THE SIGNING A 28E AGREEMENT WITH WEST DES MOINES FOR
THE PURPOSE OF CREATING AN ANNEXATION MORATORIUM
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State oflowa,is a duly organized municipal corporation;and
WHEREAS,The City of West Des Moines is in close competition with the City of Waukee for developable land;
and
WHEREAS,both communities would like to work together to fairly divide unincorporated land near each city's
existing border;and
WHEREAS,the City of West Des Moines has proposed that 1-80 to R-22 act as an annexation moratorium
boundary.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa does affirm its desire
to create a 28E agreement with the City of West Des Moines for the purpose of creating an annexation moratorium.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 21 tst of August,2000.
