RESOLUTION 99-107
RESOLUTION APPOINTING MPO POLICY AND TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVES
WHEREAS,the Metropolitan Planning Organization plays a critical role in the formulation of
strategic transportation planning in the Des Moines Metro area;and
WHEREAS,it is in the interest of the City of Waukee to be an active participant in the policy
and technical issues being addressed by the MPO;and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds the that the City Administrator is best suited to represent the
City of Waukee as are policy representative to the MPO;and
WHEREAS,the City Council fmds the that the Director of Economic Development best suited
to represent the City of Waukee as our technical representative to the MPO;and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds the that the Assistant City Administrator is best suited to
represent the City of Waukee as both the policy and technical alternate representative to the
MPO;and
NOW,THEREFORE,be it resolved that the Mark Arentsen is appointed to serve as the policy
representative to the MPO;Joshua Smith is appointed to serve as the technical representative to
the MPO;and Greg Fetterman is appointed to serve as the alternate representative to both the
policy and technical committees of the MPO.
