RESOLUTION ASSENTING TO THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF THE WILLIAM AND
CAROLYN CHASE PROPERTY AND APPROVING FIVE YEAR INCREMENTAL TAX
ABATEMENT
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa is a dilly organized municipal corporation;AND,
WHEREAS,there has been presented to the Waukee City Council an Applicatiou for Annexation,as required by
Section 368.7,Code of Iowa,as amended,executed by William and Carolyn Chase,the owners of said real estate
to be annexed;AND,
WHEREAS,said real estate is adjacent to the existing City Limits of the City of Waukee,Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee desires to annex said territory upon the Application heretofore presented;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee bestows upon the annexed property an imposition of taxes as provided in
Section 368.11,subsection 13 of the Iowa Code,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 3"'day of
November,2000 that;
1.The Application for Annexation of the William and Carolyn Chase property as described in Exhibit A
attached hereto is hereby approved.
2.Upon acknowledgement by the State of Iowa Secretary of States Office of the Clerk's filing of the map
and this Resolution on the 3"'day of November,2000,this territory shall thereafter be and become a part
of the City of Waukee.
3.The City Clerk of Waukee shall forthwith cause this Resolution,the map exhibit attached hereto and any
other filings as required by Section 368.7,Code ofIowa to be filed with the State ofIowa Secretary of
State's Office.
