APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN W ASTEW ATER RECLAMATION
AUTHORITY FACILITY PLAN UPDATE -PHASE II
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
IOWA
WHEREAS,the Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority (WRA)
is currently engaged a Facility Plan Update,AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has participated in Phase I of the study at no cost to the
City,AND,
WHEREAS,the City has now been invited to participate in Phase II at an estimated cost
to the City of$12,600,AND,
WHEREAS,it is in the City's interest to maintain several options for providing for
future wastewater treatment needs,AND,
WHEREAS,WRA membership could provide long term benefits to the City,}NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council in session this
18th day of June,2001 that it hereby endorses City of Waukee participation in Phase II of
the WRA Facilities Plan Update at an estimated cost of$12,600.
