RESOLUTION 09-132
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A 2009 EXCAVATOR AND HYDRAULIC
CONCRETE BREAKER FROM CAPITAL CITY EQUIPMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $61,164.00
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee Public Works Department recommends the replacement
of an existing Case 580 Super M Rubber Tire Backhoe as part of that department's
equipment replacement program;AND,
WHEREAS,Public Works recommends trading in the backhoe for an excavator that will
allow the department to work in one-lane traffic on road patching and water main
replacement projects,as well as provide easier traffic flow through construction areas and a
safer work environment;AND,
WHEREAS,a bid opening was held on Thursday,June 11,2009 at 10:00 a.m.,with the
most favorable bid received from Capital City Equipment for a 2009 Bobcat E80
Excavator with a Bobcat HB2380 Hydraulic Concrete Breaker,including trade-in,in the
amount of$61,640.00;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this is"day of June 2009 that it hereby approves the purchase of a 2009 Excavator and
Hydraulic Concrete Breaker from Capital City Equipment in the amount of 1,164.00.
