RESOLUTION 09-129
APPROVING A PROPOSAL AND AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WAUKEE
AND GRIMES ASPHALT AND PAVING CORP.FOR INSTALLATION OF
PCC 150'x 3'x 6"FLUME WITH INTEGRAL CURB ON THE WEST SIDE OF
W ARRlOR LANE,NORTH OF THE 5-W AY STOP,IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,800.00
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,there exists a drainage issue in a ditch along the west side of Warrior Lane,north
of the intersection of Warrior Lane,Northview Drive and Ashworth Drive (more commonly
known as the 5-way stop intersection);AND,
WHEREAS,Grimes Asphalt and Paving Corp.proposes to construct a concrete flume between
a flared end section along Warrior Lane north to a similar flared end section at Marshall Drive,at
a cost to the City of $9,800.00;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommends approving the Proposal and Agreement as provided by
Grimes Asphalt and Paving Corp.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session thisis"day of June 2009 that it hereby approves a Proposal and Agreement between the City of
Waukee and Grimes Asphalt and Paving Corp.for installation ofPCC 150'x 3'x 6"flume with
integral curb on the west side of Warrior Lane,north of the 5-way stop,in the amount of
$9,800.00.
