RESOLUTION 03-34
APPROVING PURCHASE OF A BOOK SECURITY SYSTEM
FOR THE NEW LIBRARY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Waukee Library Board of Trustees at its February 11,2003 regular
monthly meeting approved the purchase of a book security system from Checkpoint;
AND,
WHEREAS,Whereas Mr.Bill Mueller,President of the Library Board of Trustees,
discussed the purchase and the funding ofthe book security system with individual
council members and indicated that his research suggests that the Waukee Library could
experience an annual book loss due to theft totaling $5,000 or more;AND,
WHEREAS,Checkpoint Systems has offered a complete package with 3 year
maintenance agreement for total price of$14,275.00;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Library Board of Trustees feels this is a fair and reasonable
pnce.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this lih day of February 2003 that it hereby approves the purchase of a Book
Security System for the new library from Checkpoint Systems at a price of$14,275.00
