THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
APPROVING THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF
THE IOWA ASSOCIATION OF MUNICIPAL UTILITIES TO SERVE AS
AGENT FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE IN SECURING THE SERVICES OF A
CONSULTANT THROUGH AN AGREEMENT OF SERVICES TO CONDUCT
THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC UTILITY JOINT FEASIBILITY STUDY
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORJTYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City Council has approved an investigation of the feasibility of
establishing a municipal electric utility;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has joined with other cities to jointly retain a consultant
to conduct the feasibility study;AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities (IAMU)has agreed to enter
into the agreement for services as Agent for the cities;AND,
V,rHEREAS,it is necessary to authorize IAMU to serve as the City's agent for the
Agreementfor Services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 3'd day of March 2003 that it hereby approves the authorization of the
Executive Director of the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities to serve as Agent for
the City of Waukee in securing services of a consultant through an Agreement for
Services.
